Cosmopolis – The International Gathering of Storymakers

A festival of words, images and sounds to celebrate and explore the universal human practice of making stories, to take place on the University of East Anglia campus on 5th June 2010.

Cosmopolis, a major summit in the arts will mark the launch of Think Something Different, a scheme designed to create a scholarship fund for the University of East Anglia’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Think Something Different is supported by a number of the foremost figures in the Arts today, from the novelist Ian McEwan, to the President of the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), Sir Colin Davis, and the former Director of the National Theatre, Sir Richard Eyre.

Cosmopolis will bring together distinguished figures from the creative industries; people who have contributed to stories that have become important to audiences and readerships around the world today. In addition to a series of panel discussions, there will be Cosmopolis Masterclasses, giving audiences a rare insight into the secrets of the creative industries.
